Beginning of the end Chapter 27

The man may be short but he held us in the palm of his hands Marcus stared at me with a winning smile ‘did you find what you need Henrik am sure you had the same difficulty’s as myself’ he said,
Marcus chuckled ‘the gene coded computer my team had quite an issue getting it to work, did you have any luck,’ He looked intently at me trying to see any sign we had accessed it?

‘No, we didn’t get access the main computer is locked as you said. I assume the Krotki we found was the computer guy that you vaporized from the inside’
Marcus just shrugged at my remark ‘he couldn’t get access so I dismissed him at least the precious gems were available or it would have been a total loss’ Marcus raised his hands ‘if you would be so kind I don’t think it would be comfortable flying a vessel like this tied up’

I reached out and unlocked the cuffs and the guards had drawn their weapons in anticipation of any betrayal, nothing came Marcus won’t blow his deal that is the one thing he wanted.

‘Don’t worry gentlemen, there is nothing up my sleeves’ he looked back to me ‘your word praetorian that you won’t stop me as I leave the planet,’ Marcus said while he took a step towards the ship, no one moved to intercept.
